WIDGETS are small web apps you can install in the Menu, Sidebar, or SiteFooter of the site.
They add Social Media connectivity, Commenting, Weather, Tickers, various Google services, extended FirstMagic functionality to embed Pages and Layouts inside each other, and so on - the Widgets Picker is a toolbox.
Widgets live in the Root Containers, and in Digital Signs. They can be context-sensitive: for example, you could assign a Chat to one specific page, by writing the filename [the URL fragment] of that page into the Widget´s Keywords field.

You can have many instances of the same widget and have it display on different pages, or share the same widget to many pages. If its Keywords field is blank, a Widget will display itself everywhere.
Most Widgets will fit best in the SiteFooter or Sidebar, where there is better room for them, though some - like the Search Widget - is optimized for the Menu.
Install a Widget from the Widgets Picker in the Menu, Sidebar, or SiteFooter.
