THE HOME PAGE DOCUMENT can be a Splash Screen, a regular Page, or a regular Page with a Sign In box.
It behaves like a regular Web Page - you can add text, insert images and slideshows, and edit it like an Office document. Homepage Options:
Click More Actions [the Gears Icon], then the Layout Action.
- Sign In adds a loginbox to the standard Homepage, and is a good option for websites that has a lot of intranet users.
- Splash Screen turns the Homepage document into a Splash Screen with a Continue button for the Portal - in effect, it is a combination of Single-page Mode and Portal Mode.
- Homepage checkbox: for setting it as Homepage instead of Today or Portal [if one of those are active as Homepage].
- Title: shows or hides the Homepage title.
If you upload a slideshow to the Homepage, options for placing text and links on the slides will appear in the File Manager.
Slideshow: images with the prefix slide_ will automatically become a slideshow. In Splash Screen Mode, the slideshow fills the Homepage.
